President Barack Obama will answer questions from U.S. homeowners, renters and prospective buyers on Wednesday in a 30-minute housing discussion moderated by Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff.
The president and Rascoff, who will be in a room together with a video screen behind them, will discuss consumer housing questions submitted via a variety of social media platforms, including short Vine, Instagram and YouTube videos and Twitter posts bearing the hashtag “#AskObamaHousing” and from questions submitted on Zillow’s Facebook page.
The event, which will air at 1 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday — a day after the president’s housing-focused speech in Phoenix, will be live-streamed on Yahoo.
“I’m thrilled for Zillow to host this discussion and help connect U.S. homeowners and renters with the president for a better understanding of how housing policy can impact their future,” Rascoff said in a statement.
Last July, Rascoff moderated a mortgage refinancing discussion with U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Shaun Donovan that was live-streamed on the White House’s website.
