Dream Town offers health insurance plan to individual brokers

There is often a line between independent contractor and full-time employee, with health insurance being solely offered to the later. Dream Town Realty recently announced it would soon offer its individual brokers the same group insurance plan that is offered to its full-time employees.

The company made the announcement November 24 following a discontinuation of the Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plan that individual brokers had access to. Dream Town’s owner Yuval Degani said the company has been founded on the dedication to its brokers and this move is just following that company culture.

“That includes not only how we help them sell real estate, but also how we can help them remain vital and healthy throughout their careers,” Degani said in a statement.

“Losing your insurance plan is a serious setback. Dream Town isn’t going to leave these brokers scrambling to find something new that might not provide them with the benefits they need.”

The benefit adds to the laundry list of reasons Degani says real estate professionals turn to the brokerage to hang their license.
