Furthering its quest to become a national standards listing database, the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) has partnered with ListHub to distribute its listings to ListHub’s global network.
The REBNY Listing Service (RLS) has more than 13,000 residential participants who are affiliated with around 550 brokerages. The RLS currently distributes 20,000 residential sales and rental listings in all five New York boroughs: Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and Staten Island.
The agreement, announced Jan. 27, will provide the RLS with new options for syndicating and promoting listings through ListHub’s network of about 85 national, regional and affiliate publisher websites, as well as access to a global network of international publisher websites.
RLS brokers can now distribute their listings directly to the ListHub Global network, including leading international real estate websites such as China’s Fang.com and the United Kingdom’s RightMove.com. RLS participants can also use ListHub tools to manage their online marketing, route consumer inquiries, and access marketing performance reports.

Launched in 2003, the RLS underwent a major upgrade in 2013 to operate on the Real Estate Transaction Standard (RETS), the national industry standard for the exchange of real estate listings data. At the time, REBNY said it hoped to introduce nationally recognized products and services to give the RLS’ members access to state-of-the-art technology. In 2014, REBNY’s board of directors voted to implement Internet Data Exchange (IDX), which permits participating firms and their agents to voluntarily display listings from other participating firms and their agents.
“The addition of ListHub, along with the launch of IDX, the introduction of data syndication and other initiatives underway, will offer our members access to the most technologically advanced products available,” said REBNY President John H. Banks III.
But the agreement is equally a boon to ListHub, giving it access to one of the top real estate markets in the country following a record year for the platform. After adding 110 new MLSs and more than 10,000 brokerages to its platform last year, ListHub now serves more than 600 MLSs and 60,000 brokerage customers nationwide.
“We are pleased to be expanding our service in New York City, one of the most vital markets in the country,” said Celeste Starchild, ListHub’s general manager and senior vice president of professional software for the platform’s operator, Move Inc. “It is particularly exciting to have the opportunity to work alongside REBNY and its RLS as they continue to increase the best in class data services they provide to brokers and consumers.”
