James Corden: the next ‘Million Dollar Listing’ star?

“The Late Late Show” host, James Corden, has stepped into the real estate world as of late. Corden gave The Agency’s (and Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” star) David Parnes the day off so that he could play partners with James Harris on a few appointments.

Corden asked Harris how Parnes is as a business partner and what he could do to be as good. In response, Harris said that he and Parnes work as a team to sell — they each say their piece and don’t interrupt.

“Teamwork makes the dreamwork,” Corden said. And off they went to show a $13 million, 47,000-square-foot, four-bedroom, six-bathroom house in Hollywood Hills.

The potential buyer was multiplatinum rapper Tyga, whom you might have seen with Kylie Jenner on “Keeping up with the Kardashians” — or not.

Open the doors, and let the shenanigans begin.

Immediately, Corden goes to work — interrupting every word Harris says. Corden proceeds to take the lead and begins telling the potential buyer false facts, and by that I mean completely making up words like “fonton potaton” (for handrail) and trying to use fancy talk to sell the home.

But he wasn’t slow to point out the flaws either. He then shows the client windows that open from the bottom, which, as he points out, are hazardous for kids who could fall out of them.

But it wasn’t all bad salesmanship. Corden sold to the lifestyle and even went as far as to check out the bathroom acoustics by doing a bit of freestyle beatboxing in the shower with Tyga (water off, clothes on).

The second installment features Harris and Corden again, but this time, they’re doing a listing presentation.

Harris explains what the plan is (to get the seller to list with them — seems direct enough, right?) and gives him a little advice: stroke the seller’s ego.

The listing was a 75,000-square-foot, four-bedroom, five-bathroom Hollywood Hills home listed at $20 million.

The owner proudly told the agent and would-be agent about his smart-home technology. He demonstrated how the entire wall of windows would open and close with the push of a button. An unimpressed Corden told the owner it was a bit slow and, quite frankly, he didn’t have all day. (Way to stroke that ego.)

Corden was better about interrupting on this go round; however, upon seeing the pool, he immediately began stripping — don’t all agents do that?

Corden tried to close the deal and even offered to jump off the balcony if the home sold for $20 million. Talk about dedication. The poor guy had to put his hands behind his back to avoid the handshake that would close the deal.

However, when Harris asked for 90 days and Corden countered with three hours (yes, Corden and Harris are supposed to be working together), the owner couldn’t resist (he tried!) the shake.

Of course, Corden had the keg, the shirtless juggler, jello shots and potential buyers (including The Clippers’ J.J. Redick) at the ready. Because that happens all the time in real estate.

Needless to say, the showing went well, and Harris has no interest in working with Corden again.
