Jana Smith

Jana Smith has been named director of business development for the Southeast Region for Cartus Corporation, a provider of global relocation services. “Jana’s work at Cartus during the past decade positions her very strongly for  her new role, allowing her to hit the ground running in the Southeast region,” said Kathi Feczko, Cartus senior vice president, global business development, in a statement.

Marcel van Galen

CG/LA Infrastructure, a global infrastructure market maker, announced that Marcel van Galen has joined the firm as managing director of business development. “To welcome an industry influencer like Marcel to the CG/LA team is an honor,” said Norman Anderson, Founder and CEO of CG/LA Infrastructure, in a statement. “His success in providing client-focused business intelligence will help our clients develop effective strategies for creating success in a complex industry.”

Marc Lefar

Marc Lefar is the new CEO and president at RentPath, parent company of Apartment GuideRent.com, Rentals.com and Lovely. “After an exhaustive search, we are thrilled to have Marc join the RentPath family,” said David Trujillo, chairman of the board at RentPath and partner at TPG, in a statement. “His legacy of guiding established brands during periods of major product innovation makes us confident that Marc is the right leader to spearhead the next chapter of our leadership in the industry.”

Lynn Collins

LenderLive Network Inc., a domestic-based mortgage services provider, announced that Lynn Collins and Tisha Hamari have joined the firm as regional account executives for the company’s correspondent lending division. “There is growing demand for a better alternative when it comes to correspondent lending,” said David Vida, president of LenderLive Mortgage Services, in a statement. “Both Lynn and Tisha’s successful track records of working closely with correspondents to expand their mortgage businesses make them valuable additions to the team.”

April 6

Michael Bender

Michael Bender is the new east regional manager at Stonegate Mortgage Corporation, a publicly traded mortgage company. “Michael brings the skillset necessary to help grow TPO sales in the east region,” said Steve Landes, executive vice president and national director of sales, in a statement. “We are happy to have him on our team and are confident that his innovative leadership style will contribute to Stonegate Mortgage’s position as a leader in the mortgage industry.”

Gordon Peery

Seyfarth Shaw LLP announced that partner Gordon F. Peery will chair its derivatives practice and work as a member of its real estate practice from his office in Los Angeles. “Gordon is an established finance practitioner in investment management and real estate, and in a range of other practice areas, and he brings great depth in both the regulatory and transactional spaces following Dodd Frank, not only in derivatives but in structured finance,” said Paul Mattingly, chair of Seyfarth’s Real Estate department, in a statement. “Gordon will be a great resource for our lender and borrower clients.”

Mitch Salis

Mitch Salis is the new COO and co-founder at Lendful, a Vancouver-based online marketplace consumer lender. “Mitch brings a huge amount of experience to the team, and at this stage of the online lending evolution in Canada, strong management and execution is key,” said Lendful CEO Alex Benjamin in a statement. “Combined with our recent Alterna deal, getting Mitch in the mix sets us up incredibly well to continue to grow our book.”

Ted Fentin

AECOM Capital, the investment and development arm of AECOM, appointed of Ted Fentin to serve as a managing director; he will be responsible for the origination and execution of real estate projects for AECOM Capital’s West Coast platform. “Ted’s diverse industry experience in financing, developing, executing and managing large-scale real estate projects is the perfect fit for AECOM Capital’s integrated platform,” said AECOM Capital Chief Executive John T. Livingston in a statement. “His deep connections on the West Coast have the ability to pay significant dividends; we are excited to welcome him to the team and look forward to him playing an integral role as our division continues its rapid growth.”

Ralph Hoover

Ralph Hoover stepped into his new role as president of Rapattoni Corporation. “Ralph started with the company in 1996 when Rapattoni’s only product was its Magic real estate association management software and he rose to become a key player when we brought up our MLS product in 1999,” said CEO Niki Rapattoni in a statement. “His leadership qualities have excelled and he is recognized as the voice of Rapattoni by our customers and our staff.

Seyfarth Shaw announced that partner Gregg D. Bernhard has joined the firm’s real estate practice in Los Angeles. “Gregg is an exceptional real estate lawyer with an impressive record in the hospitality industry, advising on a diverse range of large transactions globally,” said Paul Mattingly, chair of Seyfarth’s real estate department, in a statement. “Gregg’s ability to close large complex real estate deals in multiple jurisdictions adds to our depth and will benefit a number of our existing clients.”

David Kittle

ComplianceEase, which provides automated compliance solutions to the financial services industry, announced that David Kittle has been appointed senior vice president of government and industry Relations. “David has a deep understanding of all aspects of the mortgage industry including origination, underwriting, risk management, and regulatory compliance,”  said John Vong, president of ComplianceEase, in a statement. “His extensive knowledge, entrepreneurial spirit, and well-deserved reputation for being a client-focused leader make him an ideal candidate to deliver effective strategy and solutions to our government and industry clients.”

Betty Lonis

Betty Lonis is the new senior vice president of human resources at Stonegate Mortgage Corporation. “Betty is a strong human resources leader with a successful track record in talent acquisition, team building and organizational development,” said Jim Smith, COO, in a statement. “I am very excited she has joined us and look forward to working with her as part of the Stonegate team.”

Chaeli K. Walker

Comergence, a provider of third-party vendor and risk-management platforms for the mortgage industry, hired Chaeli K. Walker as its new marketing director. “Chaeli’s expertise in client services and marketing communications make her an ideal fit for Comergence,” said Greg Schroeder, president of Comergence, in a statement. “Her enthusiasm and client-centric attitude will help fuel our continued growth.”

James Balas

James Balas is the new CFO at CoreLogic. “Jim is an accomplished executive with a proven track record in important financial leadership roles over the past 15 years,” said Anand Nallathambi, president and CEO of CoreLogic. “This appointment recognizes Jim’s consistently strong leadership of our financial, treasury and accounting operations and the many important contributions he has made since joining us.”

Mary Lee Blaylock

HomeServices of America, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate, announced that Mary Lee Blaylock, senior vice president and general manager of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties (BHHS California Properties), has been promoted to president and chief executive officer. “We have a team of immensely talented agents, sales managers and employees,” said Blaylock. “I look forward to leading BHHS California Properties to its next stage of growth and performance, supported by our world class management team.”
