When the market is saturated with real estate brokerages offering their services to the local community, it takes creativity to keep your head in the game and above the competition.
Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate Premier’s way of doing that was hosting the opening reception of ICONOMY/Popular Portraits by Pirela & Neal, an exhibition showcasing the works of local artists.
But why is a real estate brokerage hosting an art event?

“As the affiliated brokerage with TMT Real Estate, BHGRE Premier’s involvement with the event helps connect them with the community by bringing in consistent traffic that promotes the brand and TMT Real Estate — creating an experience for potential buyers and sellers in D.C.,” said Jordan Monroe, Realtor & marketing strategist at BHGRE Premier and president and creative director at The Monroe Trust.
The Monroe Trust is a Washington D.C.-area network association that specializes in building strategic partnerships, and it’s affiliated with BHGRE Premier. The association is comprised of TMT Real Estate Services, TMT Artist Collective and TMT Events.
Open and free to the public, the event was the second of the year, showcasing artists in the Monroe Trust Artist Collective. Artists featured at the June 9 event include Nayda Pirela and Jermaine Percy Neal.
“For other brokerages, this shows how strategic collaborations with the art community, local retailers and nonprofits can expand brand awareness, generate leads and connect them to the local community,” Monroe said.
The BHGRE Premier Galleria is located at the former site of the Adamson Gallery, above the Old Curators Office on 14th Street NW.
Throughout the rest of the year, the Monroe Trust Artist Collective will have four more opening receptions at the BHGRE Premier Galleria.
