Albert Einstein once said, “Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.”
So why do we make things so hard when we should be desperately trying to simplify?
The fact is that simplicity in real estate is found in routine. It sounds boring, but it’s the key to mastering the business.
Morning routine
It begins when your feet his the floor. Do you wake up at the same time every day? Make it consistent! No sleeping in on days without appointments.
Other aspects such as meditation, prayer, exercise and even drinking the right amount of water are simple but profound elements of a pre-work routine.
Although there isn’t much we can control in life, these are simple ways you can be in control of your day before you even make it to the office.
At the office
Once you get to your desk, the routine continues. Don’t blow it now by opening your email or scrolling around on social media. If you do, you’ll never get back on track.
Go right into one to two hours of relentless lead follow-up each day — and we mean every lead.
Never go to lunch without having called 100 percent of your buyer and seller leads. Whenever you think you have a lead generation problem, look at how you’re performing on follow-up first.

Lunch
It’s noon, and it’s time for lunch. Don’t be one of those puffed up, diva agents who prides himself or herself on working through lunch. Always eat a real lunch — at a regular time — like normal working people. In fact, take your lunch time to a whole new level, and invite a past client or center of influence to join you.
We’ll conclude this series tomorrow and talk about the afternoon work schedule. For more inspiration on how to find the simplicity in your real estate business, listen to the podcast below.
