MetaProp NYC announces the 8 real estate tech startups in its 2016 class

Want to spot the next technologies likely to impact real estate? Take a peek under the hoods of real estate startup accelerators.

The accelerator MetaProp NYC has served up the latest tea leaves for industry tech prognosticators, announcing 2016 enrollees that tend to deal in the commercial sector.

They include a lease-flipping marketplace, startups innovating in the HVAC space and a company that helps turn landlords into fitness class hosts.

In exchange for a 6-percent equity stake, MetaProp NYC will provide class members with:

The 22-week program focuses on helping enrollees boost their”business growth and market penetration.”

Signaling rapidly growing interest from tech investors in the industry, at least three real estate startup accelerators have sprouted in the last two years. In addition to MetaProp, they include AREA and a program managed by Moderne Ventures.

They follow in the footsteps of the National Association of Realtors’s (NAR) tech accelerator REach, which launched in 2013.
