Home values in the 60083 ZIP code (Wadsworth, Beach Park and Old Mill Creek) are expected to rebound with positive growth in late 2016, according to Weiss Analytics.

WalletHub analyzed 150 cities to categorize and score family-friendly qualities such as relative cost of housing, proximity to health care, school district quality and recreational opportunities. Chicago suburb Aurora ranked no. 6, with high scores in affordability, health and safety and socioeconomic environment. Chicago ranked no. 78, with high education scores but low affordability and socioeconomic standings.

While there were 6,137 completed foreclosures across the Chicago metro in the 12-month period ending in July, foreclosure inventory dropped 32.6 percent year-over-year to reach 1.2 percent of mortgaged homes in CoreLogic’s latest market update. Serious delinquencies in Chicago surpassed Illinois’ statewide rate, reaching 4 percent.
