“I can show you better than I can tell you.” That’s the approach Amy Dginguerian and her team of three have taken with their newly launched app, REmojis.

REmojis — which is short for “real estate emojis,” naturally — is available on iOS for 99 cents, and Android users can download an emoji pack directly from the site for $1.99. The emojis depict everyday situations that Realtors encounter, one of which inspired Dginguerian to create the app.
Dginguerian, who is a Realtor at JohnHart Real Estate, says she got the idea for the app after a long day of hauling open house signs around her seller’s neighborhoods.
She recounted the hot weather and the crazy looks from passersby as she struggled to keep the signs from falling to the ground.
Once Dginguerian got to her car, she began group texting her sister-in-law, who is also a Realtor, and her brother-in-law and husband, who flip homes.
She tried to tell them about her short and eventful trip across traffic — and then she began thinking about how much better it would be if she could show them.
That day, Dginguerian and her family began brainstorming a list of emojis, such as an agent hauling open house signs and door-knocking and the disappointment felt when buyers back out from a deal.
Dginguerian says the app can be used to communicate with other Realtors, but there’s also a unique opportunity to easily communicate with buyers and sellers about transaction updates, such as the number of new offers or whether the escrow is opened.

“When you finally close and you know that you’re going to be handing the new buyer the keys, you can send them the emoji that says ‘Welcome home,’ ” she said.
Although users won’t be able to personalize their character, there are seven options to choose from for men and women of all ages and races.
Dginguerian says she anticipates a Bitmoji-style update in the future, but right now they’re focused on growing their user base and bringing the app to Android.
