Wallis Ranch, an 806-home, eight-neighborhood community in Dublin, California, just celebrated its grand opening. And when one major door opens, so does another.
Trumark Companies revealed the Kindred House community space designs shortly after the grand opening of Wallis Ranch, but it’s more than just a pool with deck chairs.
“We’re seeing a trend of residential communities incorporating more communal spaces to encourage interaction between residents, and Wallis Ranch is no exception,” Peter Kiesecker, COO of Trumark Communities, said in a press release.
Trumark Communities worked with CDC Designs for the layout and environment in the sprawling 17,000 square foot space. Kiesecker explained how his team “spent countless hours visiting wineries, hotels and other attractions throughout Northern California to refine our design vision,” and it shows.
“The contemporary farmhouse design that you see today lends itself to the warm and welcoming environment of the Kindred House inspired by the distinct charm of the local countryside,” said Mark Higgins, a senior vice president for Trumark Communities.
A lounge area, designed by Gates Associates, features an open-air pavilion and other rooms that surround the 75-foot pool. Large TVs, a yoga patio, fitness center and water fountains add to the amenities, as does the barbecue pit and outdoor fireplace.
“We wanted to create a place that our residents would genuinely enjoy spending time at — where they bring their kids to play at the tot lot or to the pool in the summer, or just spend time curled up next to the fire pits in the evenings surrounded by their neighbors, who we hope will eventually become their friends,” Higgins said.
