“Real estate is a lifestyle … it is not a 9-to-5, it is a lifestyle, so you have to love and like the people you’re doing business with. And when you do that, it all just begins to build in ways that you could never expect,” said Emily Smith, COO of Wemert Group Realty.

Smith goes into what life is like at her teamerage (team + brokerage) with her “Wemates” (Wemert + teammates) including how she calendars culture with database-focused weekly meetings and intentional team lunches once a week.

Dani Blain, leader of Dani Blain Team with Keller Williams, recounted the tough journey she personally and her team have been on since her husband, and the former team leader, took his life last May.

“We truly are a family. If it were not for our team, I don’t know that I would necessarily want to continue to do real estate,” Blain said.
