The Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) and North Texas Real Estate Information Systems (NTREIS) announced Wednesday that its pro-level iOS and Android app will now be available at no additional cost to more 38,000 subscribers of its MLS, making the total potential number of users above 73,000.

The highly popular app, considered one of the most-frequently downloaded in the Lone Star State with more than 2 million installs across both operating systems, gives consumers access to properties for sale and rent throughout a wide range of markets in Texas, including Dallas-Fort Worth. It provides vibrant sale and rental listing displays, buyer and listing agent breakdowns, map searches, listing changes, property values and a host of other useful tools.

The app’s searchable directory of professionals will now include all NTREIS subscribers among its 15 Realtor associations, totaling 6,000 offices.

“HAR has a long history of working with MLSs and associations to help all Texas Realtors be more effective and efficient in their business,” said HAR Chair of the Board Shannon Cobb Evans with Heritage Texas Properties in the press release. “Consumers and Realtors alike will benefit,” he said.

According to the press release, HAR.com is the fifth-most-visited website for real estate in Dallas and the fourth most-trafficked in the state. The site rests on CoreLogic’s Matrix platform, a popular solution for multiple listing services.

Don Cook with Don Cook, Realtor, and President of NTREIS, said in the release that Realtor users can use the free app to review listing remarks and property archive reports, edit listings, manage push notifications and create comparative market analyses (CMAs).

The app’s more than 22,000 combined user reviews have to date resulted in a 4.8-star rating on Apple’s App Store.

HAR and NTREIS have couched this announcement as further proof of its joint dedication to Realtors and to the proven success of the multiple listing service.

“The MLS is still the most frequent way for Realtors to market homes across the state of Texas, and we believe in working together to empower local MLSs,” said HRIS Chairman of the Board Mario Arriaga with First Group. “Having the two largest MLSs in Texas partner to offer this incredible resource makes the value of an MLS subscription even greater and lives up to our motto of ‘Your Listing. Your Lead.’”
