Red Oak Realty reveals new website, platform redesign

Red Oak Realty

Bay Area brokerage Red Oak Realty this week launched a new website and redeveloped tech platform to streamline its business, epitomizing the way indie brokerages are increasingly beefing up their software capabilities.

The redeveloped site and platform incorporate a number of new features, including the ability to integrate Red Oak Realty’s tech infrastructure with third parties such as Zillow and Cloud CMA, according to a company statement. The redesign also includes transaction and lead management tools.

The company described the website — which also includes custom mapping features, among other things — as the “outward-facing section” of the company’s overall tech platform redesign.

Vanessa Bergmark, Red Oak Realty’s owner and president, said in a statement that “in today’s fast-moving market, it’s all about streamlining processes.”

“We’ve put a focus on accessible tools that help agents better serve their clients,” she added. “The website is the framework for new content that will give people information on the real estate process as well as the neighborhood-focused advice and information that Red Oak is known for.”

The new platform redesign epitomizes an ongoing trend in which independent brokerages increasingly lean on tech tools to compete with some of the real estate industry’s mega-companies. Among other things, indies across the U.S. have launched virtual offices, built customer relationship management platforms and created demographic analysis software. Some of the companies have built their own tools from the ground up, while others have opted to curate a collection of third-party services, but in either scenario the pattern is clear: technology is playing an ever-increasing role in the indie brokerage world.

For its part, Red Oak Realty was founded in 1976 and says it executed more than $800 million in sales last year. The company describes itself as “one of the largest independent real estate brokers” in the eastern region of California’s San Francisco Bay Area. Its platform and website redesign come after Red Oak Realty underwent rebranding efforts last year meant to signify “the company’s future-facing direction,” according to a statement.

Speaking of the new platform and website redevelopment, Red Oak Realty Chief Operating Officer Aman Daro said in a statement that the company had approached the redesign “from a variety of angles.”

“We thought about what we needed to provide for our agents, our clients and the community searching for information on neighborhoods and properties,” Daro said. “The new site gives each of these important groups what they are looking for.”
