In the 2018 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) reported 44 percent of buyers started their home search online, while only 17 percent began by contacting a real estate agent. The majority of buyers (52 percent) in the NAR survey said they most valued having an agent help them find the right home.
