Remax.com overhaul shines with responsive design, modern look

Leading brokerage franchise Re/Max has unveiled its bold website makeover, a redesign that went far beyond a fresh coat of paint.

Now featuring responsive design, the Remax.com mobile experience no longer has users squinting or doing the pinch-and-zoom to find the property search portal.

“Remax.com, with its new look, is a key element in the company’s overall technology strategy,” said Tim Drouillard, Re/Max senior vice president, information technology, in a press release.

“We view these many additions as just a starting point for future enhancements already on the drawing board. Remax.com will continually evolve based on the habits of consumers searching for homes or real estate agents.”

The new layout carries through the Re/Max red-and-blue color scheme with an inviting twist that plays to the emotional side of buying a home. Big, beautiful photographs have replaced the cartoon-like cityscape images that formerly spread across the first layer of background space.

With an enhanced focus on funneling consumers through the home search (as the primary reason that people come to the site) Re/Max has also introduced a map-based property finder through which visitors can zoom in on neighborhoods by tapping on dots that eventually lead to specific properties.

Another big part of the rollout is the addition of custom listing videos powered by VScreen.

Users now have the ability to create a customizable account to save and share favorite listings, connect with local agents, schedule tours and search for properties based on personalized criteria such as commute times.

Remax.com outpaces other real estate franchise websites in terms of traffic, with nearly 20 million more visits than its nearest competitor, according to Experian Marketing Services Hitwise data.

Our goal is to arm consumers with the most accurate and timely data, and to connect them with Re/Max agents who are at the ready,” Drouillard added in the announcement.
