“There are thousands of families that have been impacted by the work that Lurie has done over the years,” said Stephen Johnson, marketing communications manager for Re/Max Northern Illinois.

Since 1992, Re/Max Northern Illinois has donated 2.9 million dollars to CMN and Lurie and plans to eclipse 3 million in 2016.

Re/Max has been the real estate sponsor for CMN since 1992. In the 24-year partnership, Re/Max offices nationwide have donated approximately 147 million dollars to the organization.

In the Re/Max Northern Illinois network, 55 percent of the offices were given the title of Miracle Office.

The Re/Max Suburban offices in Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Glen Ellyn, Libertyville, Mt. Prospect, Schaumburg and Wheaton were honored with Outstanding Citizens awards. Re/Max Suburban donated more than any other multi-office.

“CMN is important to every agent we have, and our company. As a result, we see a lot of passion around supporting the cause of CMN, and it’s a great vehicle for us to give back,” said Chad Gilbert, president and owner of RE/MAX Suburban.

There are several ways that Re/Max agents and offices can donate to earn the title of Miracle Agent and Miracle Office. Agents may choose to make a listing a Miracle House, for example, which automatically arranges the donation through sale.

Agents who meet the minimum donation of five hundred dollars earn the Miracle Agent title, and offices must donate at least two thousand dollars.

“A majority of our Miracle Offices easily succeed [the minimum],” Johnson said. “And it’s really up to the agents, but a lot of them take it and run with it because they understand the impact.”
