Online real estate marketing site HomeGain has launched a rebate promotion for homebuyers and sellers, the company announced this week.
HomeGain is offering consumers up to $150 for buying or selling a home with an agent found through the company’s agent referral program, AgentEvaluator.
The rebate amount depends on the value of the home sold. If the home is sold for less than $75,000, consumers are not eligible. If the home is sold for between $75,000 and $149,999, consumers are eligible for a $75 rebate. For homes sold for $150,000 or more, consumers can receive $150.
There will be no additional cost to the referred broker or agent, the company said.
Buyers and sellers must register on the company’s site between Nov. 11, 2010 and June 30, 2011, using promotional code HOMEGAIN150. Transactions must be complete by Sept. 30, 2011. Referred agents must submit supporting documentation of the sale or purchase, including a HUD-1 form, by that date as well. Eligible recepients will be paid within 30 days after the company has received the documentation.
The rebate will be reflected on the HUD-1 form as a credit that HomeGain will pay outside of the close of escrow, the company said.
The promotion is available to consumers in most states. The exceptions are Alaska, Alabama, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, and New Jersey (only sellers are ineligible in New Jersey).
