Minneapolis-based broker Re/Max Results has launched a new mobile search app, ResultsRadar, for iPhone, iPad and Android devices that incorporates augmented reality technology.

ResultsRadar overlays property information such as pictures and property description when the phone’s camera is pointed at a property, and indicates the location and proximity of other properties for sale nearby.

In addition to retreiving MLS-derived property information, the app pulls additional property details that Re/Max Results may have about the property.

The ResultsRadar app is available to consumers and agents. Agents can have ResultsRadar personally branded.

The app is available for iPhone, iPad and devices running on the Android operating system — the first time an augmented reality property search app has been available for Android devices, the app’s developer, Mobile Realty Apps, said.

Based in Minneapolis, Mobile Realty Apps offers its HomeSpotter augmented reality technology to brokers and MLSs. In February, Minnesota-based multiple listing service NorthstarMLS added HomeSpotter’s augmented reality capabilities to its iOS mobile apps. Mobile Realty Apps has also worked with Bob Parks Realty, and Northwest MLS.

"Mobile is the future of real estate searches, and this app makes it fun and easy," said Marshall Saunders, owner of Re/Max Results.

Re/Max Results has 700 associates in 24 offices in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The brokerage ranked No. 19 in the nation by closed transaction sides in 2011, according to Real Trend’s annual list of the nation’s 500 largest brokerages.
