ClosingCorp, which provides real estate closing cost data and technologies for mortgage lenders, real estate professionals and consumers, has expanded its relationship with Plano, Texas-based RamQuest Inc., a provider of business solutions for title and settlement agents.
The companies, which initially partnered in March 2012, said they’ve updated the automated ordering capabilities they provide to mortgage lenders and title and settlement providers to provide more comprehensive property information, loan data and contact details for borrowers, sellers and lenders within each order.
Orders include a PDF summary of estimates for title and settlement rates, recording fees and transfer taxes. Payoff data for refinance transactions and any special instructions or important notes are also included.
Lenders access ClosingCorp’s SmartGFE Calculator through a title company website to generate rates and place orders for title and settlement services. Orders are delivered to RamQuest’s Closing Market digital network.
In January, paperless transaction management provider dotloop said it was partnering with ClosingCorp, LendingTree and WhiteFence to allow real estate agents using dotloop’s platform to help their clients choose services offered to homebuyers and sellers through those companies.
A spokeswoman for ClosingCorp said the company’s technology “is no longer included on the dotloop platform, as dotloop moved away from online ordering, and that was going to be the focus of the integration.”
Last fall, ClosingCorp said that with the addition of First American Title Insurance Co., lenders using the company’s good faith estimate (GFE) service would have access to title insurance rates and closing cost fees from three of the nation’s four biggest title insurance underwriters.
Among big four title insurance underwriters underwriters — Fidelity, First American, Old Republic and Stewart Title — only Stewart Title is not part of ClosingCorp’s service provider network.
Editor’s note: This story has been updated to note that ClosingCorp’s technology is no longer included on the dotloop platform.
