Tech-focused brokerage and referral firm ZipRealty Inc. has signed a partnership with SmartZip Analytics to add the real estate marketing solutions provider’s home value estimates to the other estimates that consumers may view when they use ZipRealty’s ZipQuote tool.
“Our partnership with SmartZip gives sellers another industry-leading home value tool to consider when pricing their home for sale,” said Jamie Wilson, senior vice president of technology at ZipRealty. “With the addition of the SmartZip home price AVM, we now have four home value tools on Seller Center portion of our website.”
Avi Gupta, president and CEO at SmartZip Analytics, said that his firm’s home value estimations provide more accuracy than those those offered by some other “popular online home value estimators.”
While competitors often base their valuations mostly on comparable home sales, SmartZip factors additional criteria into its estimates, including community demographics, economics and “lifestyle,” he said.
ZipRealty launched its home value estimator tool, ZipQuote, in July as part of its “Seller Center.” Initially, the tool enabled consumers to compare home value estimates provided by Zillow, HomeGain, eppraisal.com and ResPrice.com, the last of which was exclusive to ZipRealty.
The tool now appears to offer estimates only from Zillow, SmartZip and eppraisal.com.
