The more than 2,500 real estate professionals who belong to the Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors are set to get a new multiple listing service platform.

The platform, Paragon 5, from Black Knight Financial Services (formerly Lender Processing Services, or LPS), is already in use by 235 MLSs representing 197,000 subscribers nationwide. In a recent survey of MLS executives from real estate consulting firm Clareity Consulting, Paragon 5 received the highest MLS satisfaction ranking among systems with 10 or more MLS accounts.

The Greater Baton Rouge Association of Realtors (GBRAR) is currently using Solid Earth’s LIST-IT, an MLS platform that received comparatively poor satisfaction rankings in the Clareity survey. Other MLSs have recently decided to replace their LIST-IT platforms with those of other vendors, including Charleston Trident MLS, Manhattan MLS and North Alabama MLS.

“After many months of evaluating and assessing various MLS systems, our selection committee chose the Paragon system for its breadth of robust features and the functionality it offers our members,” said Ken Damann, GBRAR’s MLS director, in a statement.

Paragon 5 offers multitasking capabilities that allow agents to respond to multiple opportunities at the same time; powerful and easy-to-use comparative market analyses (CMAs); innovative, resourceful tools for client collaboration; experience integrating public records data with the MLS; and numerous mobile access options, Black Knight said.

“Paragon MLS is a dynamic software platform that makes it easy for real estate professionals to manage their businesses and collaborate with clients,” the company said.

A year ago, GBRAR revamped its website using Rapattoni Corp.’s Integrated Website Service, which allowed the trade group to integrate its site with Rapattoni NetMagic, the company’s association management software. Had GBRAR selected Rapattoni’s MLS system, its website would have had the ability to integrate with that as well.
