Trulia will be the exclusive sponsor of the 2014 edition of Real Trends’ performance-based ranking of U.S. residential real estate agents, giving agents a link to their Trulia profile from the rankings and a badge they can use to tout their recognition.
The “America’s Best Real Estate Agents” rankings, which Real Trends launched last year, ranks all agents who have done at least 50 transactions or a sales volume of $20 million and teams who have done at least 75 deals or a sales volume of $30 million in the previous calendar year.
The rankings, which agents and teams must submit applications for to be considered, are divvied up by state and more than 600 major cities.
Agents named to the 2014 Real Trends list will receive a badge, co-branded to Real Trends and Trulia, on their Trulia profile page. Agents can also place the badges on their own websites. In addition, the Real Trends rankings will include links to agents’ Trulia profile pages.
Real Trends estimates that approximately 9,700 agents will make the 2014 list, which comes out on July 8, and represents, it says, less than 1 percent of all real estate agents in the U.S. Real Trends notes that production numbers are verified by a third-party to ensure accuracy.
“We expect to grow this relationship in the years ahead,” said Steve Murray, president of Real Trends, in a statement.
Real Trends, in conjunction with the Wall Street Journal, also publishes “The Thousand,” a ranking of the top agents and top teams by both transaction sides and sales volume for the previous year.
