For Sale yard signs will never die, as long as they are turning smartphone-toting buyers into leads.
XiLi Mobile, a provider of leads and automated text marketing for real estate agents, says it’s capitalizing on the knowledge and industry connection of new board member Greg Hanson, a veteran of RealEstate.com and Tree.com, to grow its business.
The Wilmington, North Carolina-based company, formerly TextThisHouse LLC, connects agents to buyers who respond to invitations to send a text message for more information about a listing using a code displayed on a yard sign or other marketing material.
XiLi Mobile sends buyers a mobile website link with information for that property and other houses in the area based on the user’s GPS location data. When a buyer clicks on a property, the listing agent gets their cellphone number, and can text them with additional information or offer to show the property.
Chris Colin, XiLi Mobile’s director of sales, marketing and SEO, said in a statement that Hanson “has a tremendous amount of fantastic ideas” and has already begun helping the company expand into selling “directly to brokers, where previously our main focus was directed toward individual agents.”
XiLi Mobile says it’s acted on Hanson’s suggestion that it provide services on an exclusive basis in cities and regions, helping it establish “multiple relationships” with “large segments of Coldwell Banker, Keller Williams and Re/Max agencies across the country.”
The company said it’s also negotiating deals to provide mortgage leads to brokerages nationwide, another suggestion put forward by Hanson.
