Inman is interviewing the top producers in real estate. Here’s Chris Leavitt, “Million Dollar Listing” star and agent with Douglas Elliman.

Describe your job.

I am a real estate agent in Palm Beach, Miami and New York. I deal in the ultrahigh-end luxury market.

Where did you start?

New York.

Did you imagine when you were younger that you’d be a top producer?

Always! I knew what my life would look like at an early age, and I have always worked hard to reach my goals.

What sets you apart?

My unparalleled customer service.

How did you get there?

By learning from the best mentors in the real estate business and always striving to be the best I can be.

Are you part of a team or are you doing it solo?

I do it all myself.

What does your administrative support team look like, or do you have one?

I have one amazing assistant who does everything; I need no one else.

Who are your heroes?

Warren Buffet. I could learn so much from him.

What’s the first thing you do when you get to work in the morning? What’s the last thing you do before you leave?

I organize my day so I don’t let the day run me. At the end of the day, I have a meeting with my assistant to make sure we didn’t miss anything.

What’s the first thing you do when you’re off work for the day?

Go boxing and exercise to stay fit.

What’s your favorite place to unwind?

There’s nothing like the spa!

What areas of your business do you pay personal attention to? What have you outsourced?

All areas of my business are attended to by me and my assistant. I like being involved with anything that has my name attached to it to make sure it runs smoothly.

What do you think is the biggest barrier to success in today’s real estate industry? How have you overcome it?

Incompetent people who don’t understand the ins and outs of the industry. I work with what I’m given and try to make the best outcome out of every situation.

How do you deal with stress?

Daily massage and boxing are my outlets.

If you could change anything about your career path, would you?

Not a thing. I wish I could replicate myself so I could do even more.
