As he battles corruption charges, New York State Sen. Dean Skelos and his wife have put their Albany, New York, condo up for sale on Craigslist and Zillow.

But, though the home’s listing on Craigslist touts a “motivated seller,” the couple is shunning the services of real estate agents.

The condo is posted as a for-sale-by-owner listing on Zillow for $130,000. And its Craigslist ad, which was spotted by Capital New York, states “NO CALLS OR E-MAILS FROM REAL ESTATE BROKERS PLEASE (unless you have an interested buyer).”

The parentheses in that warning hint that, though the Skeloses want real estate agents hunting for listings to keep their distance, they still might be willing to offer some compensation to a buyer’s agent for bringing a buyer to the closing table.

If that were the case, they might list the home in the multiple listing service (MLS), which requires all listings to make offers of compensation to buyer’s agents who bring a buyer to a sale.

But it looks like they haven’t: The home isn’t listed on realtor.com, which usually shows properties listed in MLSs across the country.

Dean Skelos stepped down from his post as the majority leader of the New York State Senate in mid-May shortly after he was arrested on federal corruption charges.
