Takeaways:

  • Agents with luxury listings can now share videos with Chinese investors.
  • Access to these videos may encourage more Chinese investors to enter the U.S.
  • Chinese investors appear poised to continue their wave of U.S. residential investing.

Chinese-based investors have been cited numerous times this year as the most active foreign buyers of U.S. single-family housing and multifamily properties.

If these investors live in mainland China, though, they are unable to access high-quality property videos posted to YouTube or Vimeo.

Caimeiju

In response, Caimeiju — a marketing agency focused on providing U.S. real estate services to Chinese investors — now offers these HD videos to its clients via a new platform.

“Luxury real estate professionals at this level devote tremendous time and resources to produce the highest-quality videos for their listings,” said Jeff Toth, founder of Caimeiju. “We realized that we needed to invest in a platform to flawlessly represent those videos within the country.”

Hosted in China, Caimeiju’s video resolutions adjust between 360p, 480p, 720p and 1080p providing delivery to match users’ viewing devices.

Unlike China’s YouKu, which is similar to YouTube, videos on Caimeiju are free of advertisements, the agency said.

Last year, the number of Chinese online video users exceeded 439 million, with 33 percent in mainland China.
