Jon Hibler is the new acquisitions and asset management team member at Megalith Capital Management, a real estate owner and developer in New York City. “Jon’s understanding of the real estate development market coupled with his financial knowledge will be a valuable asset to our firm,” stated Sam Sidhu, CEO and founder of Megalith, in a statement. “We welcome him to our team and look forward to the continued expansion of our business.”
Rubenstein Partners, a real estate investment manager, has hired Mike Daugard as its Vice President for the company’s Washington, D.C. office. “Mike is a highly respected professional in the industry and his appointment to the Rubenstein team supports our strategy of recruiting top talent with extensive local market knowledge,” said Mr. Rubenstein. “Given our expanding portfolio of projects throughout D.C., we sought someone with an in-depth understanding of the region. Mike’s years of experience in this market made him the ideal candidate in our opinion and we look forward to his future contributions towards new and ongoing deals.”
Carl Hum will be the new Senior Vice President of Management Services and Government Affairs at the Real Estate Board of New York, effective Nov. 16, 2015. “Carl will be an outstanding asset to REBNY and our members,” said John H. Banks, III, REBNY President, in a statement. “He brings great experience and a proven track record of managing and completing complex projects through consensus building, strategic communications and savvy, innovative problem-solving.”

Second Century Ventures, the National Association of Realtors’ strategic investment arm, has hired Alex Lange as an Operating Partner and promoted Mark Birschbach to Vice President. “Lange’s mentorship has been invaluable,” said David Manshoory, CEO of AssetAvenue.com, in a statement (Manshoory is a member of the REach 2015 class, which Lange will help run). “Alex’s depth of knowledge from his past career achievements has made him an incredible leader to work with, and I consider myself lucky to have crossed paths with him and have the pleasure of working alongside him.”
Auction.com has hired John Wilcox as its new Senior Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Finance. “John Wilcox is the right person to guide Auction.com’s future initiatives that will help take our industry-leading marketplace to new heights,” said Gordon Smith, general manager of Auction.com’s commercial real estate division, in a statement. “John also brings experience working for three different brokerage firms as a leader in capital raising, in addition to a valuable background in building and integrating teams.”
Kathleen Alvarez is the new TPO National Underwriting Director at First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation. “Kathleen brings FGMC more than 25 years of underwriting knowledge and management experience specific to residential mortgage lending,” said Dea O’Hopp, Chief Operating Officer, First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation, in a statement. “She will be instrumental in expanding our TPO platform, collaborating with our TPO internal and external customers, and tasked to perpetually meet and/or exceed exceptional service-levels.”

Coldwell Banker United, Realtors in the Carolinas, has appointed Pauline Bennett as its President. “Pauline has been incredibly successful at guiding branch offices and sales associates to reach their greatest potential,” said Kate Rossi, executive vice president of NRT’s Southeast Region, in a statement. “I am continually impressed by her extraordinary insight, inspiring leadership and passion for helping sales associates grow their business.”
LRES, a national REO and appraisal management company, has named Damon Paxson as its Vice President of Homeowner Association (HOA) Services. “Damon’s impressive background and past responsibilities further strengthen LRES’ HOA department as he monitors and manages the flow of HOAs and deadlines; ensures adherence to all specific state, local and county ordinance requirements; and mobilizes our HOA team to grow,” said Roger Beane, CEO of LRES, in a statement.
Christina Allen is the new Vice President of Product at Compass. “We are thrilled that Christina has joined us during such an exciting time for Compass,” said Founder & CEO at Compass, Robert Reffkin, in a statement. “Her excellent leadership skills, creative abilities, in-depth knowledge, and strategic business drive will be invaluable resources as Compass continues to grow nationally.”
