As of January 26, Fillmore Real Estate, a top Brooklyn brokerage for both residential and commercial real estate, is now a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). Established in 1966, Fillmore is one of the oldest brokerages in Brooklyn — and joining REBNY only adds to its abiding credibility.

Brokers at Fillmore will get more than a badge to place on their on business cards or websites. REBNY provides Residential Listing Service (RLS), educational services, seminars, opportunities to meet with industry leaders, certifications and members-only privileges. REBNY also publishes reports on prices for both the residential and commercial real estate markets, allowing agents to keep up with the trends in their ZIP codes.
“We are delighted to welcome Fillmore Real Estate as valued new members of REBNY. We trust that this is the start of a long and mutually beneficial relationship that will help advance the interests of Fillmore agents, other REBNY members, and most importantly, the consumer,” said REBNY President John H. Banks, III.
Fillmore Real Estate has headquarters in Sheepshead Bay and a total of 16 offices across the New York City scape. The firm’s most recent office openings occurred in Brooklyn Heights and Fort Greene to match increasing demand from buyers and sellers in those neighborhoods.
Although Fillmore’s solid reputation is evident in referral success — nearly 45 percent of new business is referred by previous clients — management is committed to innovation as it relates to real estate technology. President and CEO John Reinhardt takes special interest in social media tactics, website development based on consumer feedback, a Web-based Prospect Management System, AgentDashboard, SellerDashboard, virtual tours and quality brochures.
As Fillmore continues to grow, REBNY will be a key resource for its brokerage. REBNY already holds more than 17,000 members — and that number is quickly growing. The organization represents both commercial and residential owners, builders, brokers, managers and virtually any individual or institution involved in the city’s real estate. Many members of REBNY are also real estate attorneys, and the organization is involved in civic manners like tax policies, zoning, rental conditions, building codes and legislation.
“When we all work together, everyone wins,” Banks concluded.
A special reception will be held in Brooklyn on February 11 to formally welcome Fillmore and its 300 brokers to the REBNY team.
