And if any of them like it enough, they might be able to claim it for their very own. Murdoch is listing the property today with Dolly Lenz.

Rupert Murdoch's West Village townhome.

Rupert Murdoch’s West Village townhome.

He bought the trophy home between Bleecker and West 4th Streets last spring for $25 million. Lenz, who advises the media magnate on his Manhattan housing needs, confirmed that the property had become available.

We are thrilled to be representing Mr. Murdoch in the sale of his magnificent triple mint West Village mansion,” she said.

“Located on the best block in the West Village, directly across from Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s new place, it is just minutes to trendy restaurants and cafes, the Whitney Museum and the High Line.”

The asking price? $28.9 million.

It’s possible that the 11th Street property isn’t quite big enough for Murdoch’s new blended family with his bride, Jerry Hall. (Hall has lived for years in a 26-room home in London’s leafy Richmond suburb, so she might like something closer to Central Park.)

Lenz is confident a buyer will soon be found for the 6,500-square-foot single-family home, which includes four bedrooms, a roof deck, an elevator, a 1,200-bottle wine cellar and a private gym.

Murdoch, with his entity Carmel Investments LLC, paid $5 million less than townhouse’s original asking price of $30 million. Brown Harris Stevens’ David Kornmeier was the listing agent on the sale at the time.

Only registered Global Connect attendees with IDs will be allowed at the reception.
