Renaissance Place, a popular staple within Chicago’s north shore suburb of Highland Park, is now up for sale. The mixed-use retail, office and multi-housing property is located at 1849 Green Bay Rd. and encompasses an entire block near the center of town.

The bustling complex, built in 2000, features 82,604 square feet of in-line retail space. Current occupants include a cinema, Joseph A. Bank’s, Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma and Starbucks.

In addition, Renaissance Place offers 54,534 square feet of offices. The building is 90 percent leased in its retail and office sectors.

Currently vacant, the former Saks Fifth Avenue at the corner of Green Bay Road and Elm Place offers 48,000 square feet of space. The two-story building is repositionable. According to LoopNet, the Saks building includes 519 parking spaces and is classified as an office building.

The sale is listed and marketed by Holliday Fenolgio Fowler, L.P. (HFF), a national commercial real estate firm. According to a press release from the firm, directors Amy Sands and Clinton Mitchell, along with managing directors Jaime Fink and Jeffrey Bramson, are representing the undisclosed seller.

In total, Renaissance Place is 221,489 square feet. The uptown location sits across the street from Sunset Foods, a popular specialty supermarket local to the north suburbs of Chicago.

Highland Park is a well-known affluent community, formerly home to Michael Jordan. Households in a three-mile radius of the listing average $153,481 in annual income, according to HFF.

Situated less than a half-a-mile from the Highland Park Metra train station, Renaissance Place provides a unique opportunity to target residents and visitors from nearby suburbs and downtown Chicago. On a local scope, the address is within walking distance to more than 18,000 households.
