Apartment List recently released the July rent report for Los Angeles. Rents were flat over June, but L.A. continues to be one of California’s most expensive cities for renters.

L.A. is still expensive

L.A. rents grew 3.3 percent year-over-year since June 2015, outpacing California’s rent growth of 2.2 percent over the same time period. Rents in L.A. sat at $2,630 for a two-bedroom and $1,930 for a one-bedroom in June.

L.A. and Pasadena: most expensive cities in the metro

L.A. and Pasadena were the two most expensive cities for rents in the L.A. metro, with two-bedroom median rents of $2,630 and $2,600, respectively. Rents in Pasadena grew by 0.5 percent in the past year.

Westwood rents decreasing, but they’re still not cheap

Rents in Westwood decreased 1.5 percent month-over-month in June. However, this did not knock it out of its place as the most expensive neighborhood for renters in L.A. In Westwood, the median price for a two-bedroom apartment was $4,300, and the median price for a one-bedroom sat at $2,980.
