New Trier Township High School District No. 203

With just two schools and a little more than 4,200 students, New Trier Township High School District No. 203 is rated no. 1 in the Chicagoland area and no. 1 in Illinois. The district scored an A or above in all categories except student culture and diversity, for which it received a C+.

Glenbrook High Schools District No. 225

At no. 2, Glenbrook High Schools District No. 225 is comprised of just 4 schools and nearly 5,000 students. The Northfield Township district is also no. 2 in the state, receiving an A or above in all seven scoring categories.

Community High School District No. 128

Located in Libertyville Township, Community High School District No. 128 has just two public high schools and 3,345 students. It’s rated no. 3 in both the Chicago Metro and Illinois. The district scored an A or above in all categories except student culture and diversity, for which it received a B.

Hinsdale Township High School District No. 86

Hinsdale Township No. 86 in DuPage County is ranked fourth in both the metro and state, with two schools total. The district is comprised of nearly 4,500 students and scored an A in every category but health and safety, for which it received a B+.

Township High School District No. 113

Township High School District No. 113 in Highland Park (Lake County) is fifth in both the Chicago Metro and the state. There are 3,573 high school students across two public facilities, and the district scored an A in all categories besides sports and fitness (B+) and health and safety (B-).

Barrington Community High School District No. 220

District No. 220 in Barrington is comprised of 12 total schools and almost 9,000 students. It’s rated sixth in both the Chicagoland area and state of Illinois and scored an A in all categories except student culture and diversity, for which it received a B+.

Indian Prairie Community Unit School District No. 204

Naperville’s Indian Prairie Community Unit School District No. 204 ranks seventh in both Chicagoland and the state. It’s a big district with 33 schools and almost 30,000 students, teaching pre-k through 12th grade.

Naperville Community Unit School District No. 203

Is Lisle, Naperville Community Unit District No. 203 contains 22 schools and over 17,000 students. Naperville Community District is ranked eighth in both the metro area and the state.

Elmhurst School District No. 205

Elmhurst District No. 205 comes in at no. 9 in Chicagoland, with 13 schools and 8,435 students. Elmhurst School District is also ninth in Illinois.

Community Unit School District No. 200

In tenth place, Community Unit School No. 200 District in Milton Township has 20 schools and 13,245 students between pre-k and 12th grade. It’s also rated 10th best in the state of Illinois.
