Prospective renters perusing popular search portal Homes.com will now come across listings for U.S. rental communities from Apartment List, an online rental marketplace.

A new partnership between the two companies “combines Homes.com’s audience and reach with Apartment List’s best-in-class user experience and platform,” Homes.com said in a press release.

The listings from Apartment List, which Homes.com called the “fastest-growing rental marketplace,” represent multifamily rental communities of more than 100 units. They augment Homes.com’s existing inventory of rental listings for individual units.

“Homes.com is excited to partner with Apartment List to offer consumers searching for their next home a best-in-class rental search experience,” said David Mele, president of Homes.com, in a statement.

“This strategic collaboration offers added exposure and will drive more qualified consumers to Apartment List rental communities.”

In November of last year, Homes.com, which sells advertising to real estate agents, was the most popular real estate search site after Zillow, Trulia, realtor.com and Redfin.

In November 2016, Homes.com unveiled lead concierge and social media marketing services for agents, as well as an Uber-like feature that lets website users quickly connect with agent advertisers.

Apartment List says a focus on both renters and property owners sets its apart from competitors. It claims to have “helped over 100,000 families find their home since 2014” and to offer “the only pure play transaction-based marketplace for long-term rentals.” (Inman asked Homes.com to clarify these claims.)

Since launching in 2011, Apartment List has raised nearly $60 million in funding from investors including Caanan Partners, Matrix Partners and Passport Capital.
