NEW YORK — Nine startups stood on stage at Inman Connect New York’s Tech Connect on Tuesday to introduce themselves — and what they have to offer — to an audience of potential clients.
“These niches almost shouldn’t be called niches because they’re larger than almost any other industry out there,” moderator and Roofstock CEO Gary Beasley said about this year’s group.
The group at the New Kids on the Block panel offered up quick introductions and pitches. Here are the nine highlighted startups and founders:
BrokerageUP! recruits and supports women running their own brokerages. “Of the top 100 brokerages brokerages in California only 14 are run by women,” Ross said. “Our mission is to support women.”
Cherre CEO L.D. Salmanson
Cherre is a real estate data management platform. “We know how difficult both collecting and resolving existing real estate data is,” Salmanson said. “We provide our clients with data process management.
Nova Credit head of international partnerships Cynthia McMurry
Nova Credit helps people living outside their home country transfer their credit history to their new home. “There’s a multi-million-dollar opportunity to better serve immigrant customers,” McMurry said. “We allow consumers to transfer their credit identity from one country to the other.”
TLCengine CEO Krishna Malaya
TLCengine evaluates and estimates total lifestyle costs for properties — not just the price of the property itself.
Crater co-founder Daniela Albert
Crater uses technology to get 24/7 estimates for moving costs. “This is an antiquated industry running on pen, paper and fax machines,” Albert said. “Crater is transforming moving by developing software for moving and relocation companies.”
Savvy Homes Portal founder Lauren Taylor
Taylor was an agent whose business grew quickly. When she wanted to scale her business, she couldn’t find what she was looking for. Now she’s working on virtual reality home tours through Savvy Homes Portal. “You can change a 30-minute showing into a seven-to-nine minute video,” Taylor said.
letsbutterfly CEO Haitham Al-Beik
Letsbutterfly is an early-stage mobile app for Realtors and clients. The app works with artificial intelligence and blockchain and includes educational components for both parties.
Preclose CEO Rebecca Guthrie
Preclose is a listing-to-close management software that integrates with platforms like Docusign and speeds up closings.
“Clients have instant visibility into what’s happening throughout a transaction,” Guthrie said. “We are changing the way that a transaction is conducted.”
EvaBot CEO Rabi Gupta
EvaBot automatically sends real, physical gifts to clients. The gifts come in branded boxes with real estate agents’ information.
