CoreLogic, the biggest multiple listing service system vendor in the country, will provide consumer-facing real estate websites to its MLS clients through an agreement with Homes.com, the company announced Monday.

“Homes.com has proven its leadership in real estate search by attracting more than 14 million consumers to its website every month. This is a groundbreaking collaboration between two industry leaders with a shared vision for modernizing the real estate industry on the internet,” Chris Bennett, executive leader of real estate solutions for CoreLogic, said in a statement.

CoreLogic will incorporate a product from Homes.com called the Fusion Portal, which creates public websites. These websites follow “fair display guidelines” that include not featuring listings or ads for other brokers or agents next to a brokerage’s listing and free leads sent to listing agents or brokers, among other stipulations.

CoreLogic’s Matrix MLS platform serves MLSs with more than 780,000 agents, brokers and appraisers combined nationwide. The firm had already been providing consumer-facing websites to its MLS clients, but will now transition those to the Homes.com platform, said Victor Lund, a consultant with the firm WAV Group speaking on behalf of CoreLogic.

Unlike Zillow or Trulia, these consumer-facing MLS websites don’t allow agents to pay for advertising space next to other agents’ listings.

“The Homes.com Fusion Portal solution offers organizations everything they need to launch a premier real estate web portal in their local market,” Homes.com President David Mele said in a statement.

“The enhanced web presence combined with the most accurate multiple listing data, advanced search capabilities and a contemporary and responsive interface will help multiple listing organizations expand their local presence while driving consumer inquiries back to their members.”
