Agent NEO is software for real estate agents to use in conjunction with voice-activated internet appliances, such as Google Home and Amazon Echo.

  • Agent Neo has announced new pricing plans and now promotes agents with Google Adwords campaigns.
  • Consumers can now find agents' preferred vendors using Amazon Echo.

The rapidly growing world of voice-activated internet (VAI) has opened doors to countless options for agents looking to expand their brand, and 3,500 agents around the county are using Agent Neo’s Alexa-voiced app to do just that, the company shared with Inman via email.

It’s a small percentage of the industry, but they’re called first-adopters for a reason.

Real estate agents who register with Agent Neo send a personalized link to their database to install the app on their Echo.

Agent Neo added a number of new features over the winter of 2018 after announcing functionality for teams in November 2017, including a preferred vendor skill that recommends members of an agent’s network of home service professionals.

The company is also doing more to expose its local agents by investing money in Google Adwords campaigns on their behalf. This will help the agent’s profile surface in standard web searches and non-Agent Neo voice look-ups.

Agent Neo also provides dedicated landing pages for each Google Ad, considered essential to a successful SEO campaign. Each contains an extensive bio, headshot, map of office locations and a link to download the app.

The company has also emerged from beta testing with two pricing plans:

  • $9.99/month: access to leads from one location and branded Alexa app.
  • $14.99/month: access to leads from up to five locations, branded Alexa app and presence on the local search network.

It was announced recently that Voiceter Pro, another VAI real estate search and agent marketing app, has forged partnerships with a number of brokerages in the Midwest and is in talks with an undisclosed multiple listing service (MLS) to provide the service as a member benefit.

The battle for “voice share” on home internet appliances seems to be escalating, despite both parties being in the nascent stages of growth.

Looming above both startups is the booming specter of Keller Williams’ ‘Kelle’ app, a VAI tool for smartphones.

Currently only for KW agents, Inman was told last month that the company has a team dedicated to developing consumer-facing products under its new “we’re a technology company” model. The launch of a verbal real estate search app for its agents’ listings wouldn’t be surprising.

The better news is that, at the moment, technology companies have recognized a homebuyer and seller need and are helping real estate agents solve it.
