Real estate industry veteran Teri Conrad is joining Zillow Group as its new director of broker relations in Canada, the company confirmed to Inman on Wednesday.
“Zillow Group is a natural fit for me: The company is a pioneer when it comes to real estate and tech, but it’s also never shied away from the commitment to continued partnership with the industry, which is how we all succeed,” Conrad wrote in a LinkedIn post announcing the news.
A company spokesperson told Inman that Conrad would primarily be working with brokerages and franchisors in Western Canada to partner with Zillow, and “benefit from our global audience of buyers and sellers, and leverage our tools for agents, teams and brokers.”
In her career, Conrad has been a licensed Realtor with Royal LePage Wolstencroft Realty in Langley, British Columbia, and recently started a real estate coaching business called AgentQuest, an educational “graduate” program for committed Realtors. Conrad also specializes in helping Realtors in brand development, social/digital, working with buyers/sellers, prospecting and mindset. She has also contributed to Inman.
“I have been the Realtor, the association volunteer, the speaker, the coach, the trainer and management within a brokerage,” wrote Conrad. “I have the deepest respect for our entire industry and as director of broker relations I look forward to continuing to support agents, brokers and lenders and ensuring the best possible seamless experience for you with Zillow Group.”
“I’ve spoken and written for years about the ‘consumer journey’ in our digital age, and Zillow Group’s mission aligns with what has always mattered to me as a real estate professional; commitment to delivering an amazing experience for home buyers and sellers, while also providing value to their agent, broker and lending partners,” Conrad added.
The Seattle-based real estate technology company is rapidly adding listing partners in Canada as part of its planned launch of Canadian for-sale homes on its search portal later this year.
The company yesterday announced three new partnerships with brokerages, bringing its total to seven partners committed to providing 30,000 listings in Canada this year.
Right now, Zillow has partnerships in Canada with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Signature Service, Core Assets Real Estate, Greater Property Group, Century 21 Canada, Right at Home Realty, Exit Realty and RE/MAX Ultimate Realty.
At this time, the company’s largest money-maker, Premier Agent, won’t be coming to Canada, just home listings.
