Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate announced Tuesday it will begin offering its affiliated brokerages access to Sisu, a talent acquisition and performance tracking tool.

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE), a franchisor subsidiary of Realogy, announced Tuesday it will begin offering its affiliated brokerages access to Sisu, a talent acquisition and performance tracking tool.

Sisu was one of 10 startups to compete at Realogy’s sixth annual FWD Innovation Summit, where leaders from the company’s portfolio of brands – including BHGRE — got a first-hand look at pitches from tech startups.

“With this announcement, [BHGRE] is not only delivering on our promise to make our affiliated companies more competitive in the talent attraction arena, we are bringing the advantage of world-class, data-driven intelligence to the effort through Sisu,” BHGRE Chief Operating Officer Rich DeNicola said in a statement. “Every broker, manager and talent attraction lead in our global network can look forward to a smarter, more streamlined approach to recruiting, the driving force of our real estate business.”

Through the partnership, BHGRE’s approximately 120 brokerages and more than 360 offices will have access to Sisu at no additional cost. BHGRE is paying for it and providing it to all franchisees.

Sisu empowers brokerages to make recruitment decisions and deploy capital resources based on data and analytics. Within the platform, brokerages can encourage competition among recruiters and help them meet their goals by creating leaderboards or sending push notifications about deadlines.

Brokerages could theoretically create a scenario where each recruiting conversation is worth 100 points, each appointment worth 200, and each new recruit worth 1,000. Using Sisu, recruiters could see the leaderboard and the brokerages could offer incentives to point leaders.

The platform will also give brokers access to real-time data and performance stats on individual agents like appointment and conversion ratios. In turn, a broker will know where to deploy education resources and time to specific agents to better retain talent.

“The innovative Sisu platform and the many benefits it provides is something we couldn’t get on our own and serves as another example of the power of our affiliation with [BHGRE],” said Mark McDonough, president of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Winans in Dallas. “It will transform the way we set our talent attraction strategy and cascade it through our company.

“The intelligence, real-time data, tracking and analytics give me confidence in our recruiting plan, which allows me to focus on bringing the right people into our company,” McDonough added. “The fact that this is at no additional cost underscores the brand’s commitment to the profitability of my organization.”

In an era of high competition for talent among real estate brokerages, Realogy has used technology to try and gain an edge on their competition.

Last month, Realogy CEO Ryan Schneider revealed that his company had built a machine-learning algorithm that matches characteristics of agents unaffiliated with the brand in an effort to pinpoint recruiting efforts.
