Tim Heyl, founder and CEO of Homeward got into real estate right after college. He read Gary Keller’s The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and went all in on building a business — and treating it like a business, he told the audience at Inman Connect Las Vegas.
He opted not to go the tap-into-your-sphere route and chose to cold call people he didn’t know because it was less awkward for him. He made 1,000 phone calls a day for three years and built a database of tens of thousands of consumers.
