As a result, the majority of current buyers in Houston are either from out-of-state or international investors, according to Register, who can be heard on Sundays from 11 a.m. to noon on News Radio 740 AM KTRH.
The broker/owner of Register Real Estate Advisors has hosted the show for roughly three-and-a-half years and has built up a following of 70,000 radio listeners per weekend. The broadcasts are also available on iTunes, YouTube and iHeartRadio.
Single-family housing topics discussed on air include: inspections, how to chose a Realtor, home staging, down payment assistance, mortgages and title policies.
Spanning the show’s history, its most controversial topic has been appraisals, Register noted.
Another housing topic of concern to her listeners is single-family construction within the metro. Land price escalation, lot availability, labor shortages and material price increases have all made things hard on homebuilders. However, she did note that more new homes will be delivered this year than in 2014.
Houston Real Estate Radio also touches on commercial real estate, land, leasing and politics.
