The final innovator spotlight keynote for Real Estate Connect New York this year came from The Corcoran Group’s Matthew Shadbolt, winner of the highly competitive Inman News “2011 Most Innovative Real Estate Social Site, Social Service or Blog” award for his work leveraging the Foursquare platform to connect on an unprecedented level with New Yorkers.
Matthew takes us through how an inspiring presentation from Foursquare founder Dennis Crowley two years ago at Real Estate Connect led to an unprecedented marketing journey, which ended up being featured in Forbes, The New York Times, Mashable and even the first-ever business book on Foursquare.
Matthew also shares three social trends he outlines as being incredibly important to how the Web will shift in 2012. From managing the fire hose of information and ordering your connections, through to social TV and the disruption of the cable companies, and ending with a concept he describes as “lifestreams,” spend 20 minutes in the near future with Matthew as he shares what he feels is important to be looking at right now.
