Of the nearly 17 million homes builders put up between 1990 and 2008, 10 million were constructed in “Wildland Urban Interfaces,” where they’re potentially exposed to higher risk of wildfires, according to an analysis by property information aggregator CoreLogic.
The report identifies more than 1.2 million homes in 13 Western states valued at more than $189 billion that are at “high” or “very high” risk for wildfire damage. Source: corelogic.com
