A study that asked participants to rate listing agents’ looks on a scale of 1 to 10 found that each one-point increase in attractiveness correlated with a $10,989 increase in list price and a $8,467 increase in sales price, on average.

But the study, published in the May 2012 edition of Applied Financial Economics, also found that attractive agents represented an average of 17 fewer listings and closed 11 fewer sales during the seven-year study period.

Two former models turned real estate agents told the Wall Street Journal that looks might give some Realtors an advantage, but only if they also have negotiating skills and drive. Source: wsj.com.
