Only 1 in 5 members of the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors are participating in a pilot program backed by the National Association of Realtors that’s aimed at raising professionalism through survey-based agent ratings, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Quality Service Certification Inc. signed an agreement last year with a NAR subsidiary, the Center for Specialized Realtor Education, to provide the “Realtor Excellence Program” through a half dozen state and local Realtor associations, including the California Association of Realtors, the Denver Metro Association of Realtors (DMAR), and the St. Paul Area Association of Realtors (SPAAR).
CAR President Don Faught tells the Tribune that the 155,000-member group is “a big proponent” of the ratings program, but that there “hasn’t been a whole lot of acceptance” among members. Source: chicagotribune.com
