Realtors who are opposed to a casino in Springfield or another community in western Massachusetts are citing a study by economists with the National Association of Realtors that estimated traffic noise and other disruptions would dent home values in whichever city is chosen by $1,650 to $3,300. A spokeswoman for the proposed $800 million MGM Springfield gaming resort noted that it would also include 56 market-rate condos. Source: masslive.com.
