With the company he co-founded set to be acquired by Zillow next year, is Trulia CEO Pete Flint thinking about broadening his horizons?
Australian agent review platform OpenAgent has closed a $1 million funding round, and Flint is one of the investors, Anthill’s Gerald Ainomugisha reports.
“Having Pete Flint come on board as an investor and adviser is just huge,” OpenAgent co-founder Zoe Pointon tells Ainomugisha. She says Flint “loves what we’re doing, and clearly thinks OpenAgent has a bright future. You can’t get a better vote of confidence than that.”
Trulia co-founder Sami Inkinen stepped down as president in 2012 but continues to serve on the company’s board. This summer Inkinen and his wife rowed from San Francisco to Hawaii to raise money for the Institute for Responsible Nutrition.
Zillow has said it will continue to operate Trulia.com as a separate brand after the acquisition closes, which is expected to happen next year, barring complications. Source: anthillonline.com.
