Trulia grew its subscriber base by 7,000 agents in the first quarter to nearly 67,000, according to the firm’s first-quarter 2014 earnings report released today.
Trulia’s first-quarter revenue was up 127 percent from the same quarter a year ago to a better-than-expected $54.5 million.
Despite that increase, the firm reported a net loss of $15.2 million in the quarter, likely a cause of the massive $45 million consumer marketing campaign the firm launched in March.
Monthly unique visitors to Trulia in the first quarter increased by 42 percent from first-quarter 2013 to 44.6 million. Monthly unique visitors jumped 68 percent over the same period to 11.4 million in the first quarter.
