Real estate search portal HomeFinder.com has signed up Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty as the first participant in a new “Broker Advantage Program,” which refreshes participating brokers’ listing feeds four times a day and gives them priority over other data sources.

Zillow and Trulia have similar programs, which are intended to make sure the sites have the freshest and most accurate listings possible. Realtor.com gets listings directly from most of the nation’s multiple listing services — an advantage it touts in marketing the site to consumers.

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty brokers will get “preferred access” to HomeFinder.com’s suite of digital marketing solutions, and listings represented by the firm’s more than 800 agents will be included in paid search results on the site. Broker website links will be displayed on HomeFinder.com, and they will receive monthly reports on HomeFinder.com listing activity, the company said.

Licensed in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Rand Realty operates 24 offices in New Jersey and New York’s Hudson Valley.

An affiliated company of Classified Ventures LLC, HomeFinder.com is owned by Gannett Co. Inc., The McClatchy Co., and Tribune Co. HomeFinder.com’s national affiliate network of 375 online newspaper partners provide access to almost 4 million online real estate listings to 3.4 million visitors a month.

HomeFinder.com also sells advertising and provides marketing services including single-property websites to a network of 20,000 real estate professionals.

Last month, HomeFinder.com acquired Open Home Pro, maker of an iPad app of the same name that helps agents capture and incubate leads gathered at open houses.
