Ellie Mae is now offering mortgage lenders a consumer direct solution for its Encompass mortgage management platform that can guide homebuyers through a step-by-step application process in less than 15 minutes, giving borrowers greater control and insight throughout.
Encompass Consumer Direct lets borrowers use their personal computer or tablet to comparison shop for loans by rates and terms, order and pay for credit reports, apply for a loan, receive disclosures and status updates from lenders, and upload and electronically sign documents.
Ellie Mae calls it a “self-service and lead-generation solution for lenders looking to enhance service and efficiency while catering to tech-savvy borrowers.”
Lenders can incorporate their branding on their consumer direct site, and add specific products to the platform using the Encompass Product and Pricing Service. Encompass Consumer Direct can be tailored to fit their business models, allowing retail mortgage originators to forward completed loan applications to loan officers to maintain a one-on-one relationship with the consumer, for example.
“We see huge potential with Encompass Consumer Direct, especially in meeting the demands of our next generation of homebuyers — millennials,” said Jeanie Nivison, chief operating officer of VanDyk Mortgage, in a statement.
Pleasanton, California-based Ellie Mae says its Encompass mortgage management platform helps banks, credit unions and mortgage lenders improve compliance, loan quality and efficiency.
